The Terminal Cores serve as primary entrances to LAX terminals designed to provide easy access to the site's levels via elevators and escalators, as well as a direct connection to the future APM train system. One of three cores constructed by the Austin Commercial design-build team, the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT) Core is integrated as an extension of the terminal's eastern façade, creating space for vertical circulation, restrooms, and office spaces. Departing passengers will walk across the West CTA APM Station's elevated pedestrian bridge into the TBIT core, where they will be welcomed by the iconic Tom Bradley bust situated in a three-story open atrium. Construction of the TBIT core was completed in multiple phases to ensure uninterrupted terminal operations.
